Walls are an open gate to the outside world letting heat and noise travel through them with ease.
You can lose up to 25% of the heat in your home through the external walls in winter and around the same amount of heat can enter in through the walls during summer. Insulation essentially acts as a barrier to slow down this process and makes a substantial difference to the temperature you will feel inside, meaning you can live more comfortably and spend less on energy. Information on our range is below. For further information or advice on a particular application, contact your nearest Consolidated Energy office.
Bradford Wall Insulation
Bradford wall batts are available in R-Values from R2.0 – R2.7. Manufactured from glasswool, the batts are specially stiffened and treated to provide a moisture resistant insulation that meets the Building Code of Australia’s minimum requirements for energy efficiency in homes. The glasswool used is made up of very thin glass fibres that are spun like fairy floss to create millions of air pockets. These air pockets are very poor conductors of heat and resist the flow of air or radiation through the insulation. Bradford insulation for walls can reduce energy used for heating and cooling by up to 20% leading to a decrease in your energy consumption and in your energy bills.
